Maximizing your grappling longevity, injury resistance, and performance requires strength and conditioning - you need to perform the right workouts if you want to perform well over the long run.
Technique is important in BJJ and MMA; so is strength. In a match where both grapplers are equally skilled, the stronger and more conditioned grappler will always have the edge. While some grapplers neglect this aspect of training, it is an integral part of the sport that will help you become a better grappler.
Strength training for grappling allows you to dominate an opponent who might have a higher technical level. While not always true, physical attributes can cover deficiencies in technical skill, provided that you can use your strength and conditioning effectively.
This class also includes Prehab elements - a form of training specifically targeted at strengthening the muscles and joints – as well as increasing flexibility, range of motion and motor control – in order to prevent injury.

We are a REORG approved training facility providing a fully-funded BJJ training programme designed to support the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of veterans, military and emergency services personnel.
