A BIG DAY FOR PARITY
Today we hosted our team gathering and seminar with the legendary Mauricio Gomes. Thanks so much to everyone who came and supported. It was a really special day for Parity, learning from a legend and celebrating the progress and growth of our members and coaches.
Jon and Dave received their first degrees on their Black Belts, plus with the blessing of Mauricio, Jon awarded his first 3 BJJ Black Belts to Josie, Dave and Martin. We also got to witness Andy Roberts receive his 4th Degree on his Black Belt
14 Black Belts on the mats, including an 8th Degree Coral Belt and Parity’s very own 7 Black belts!
The coveted BJJ Black Belt is a huge milestone, often taking 10-15 years to achieve. It’s not just a symbol of technical mastery but a profound testament to a practitioner's journey, character, and commitment to the art. Becoming a BJJ Black Belt is an achievement that extends beyond the acquisition of technical expertise; it encompasses mentorship, leadership, humility, and a commitment to the values of the art. The journey and continuous pursuit of excellence is marked by numerous challenges – physical, mental, and emotional - but resilience turns setbacks in to opportunities for growth.
BJJ Black belts are not just skilled practitioners; they are ambassadors of a legacy, contributing to the community's growth and inspiring others on their own journeys, and not many are more inspiring than these three.
A huge congratulations to Parity’s newest Professors!
